Class Texts - Autumn
Grandad's Island
Our first class guided reading book is called ‘Grandad’s Island’ written by Benji Davies. As a class we will be learning new vocabulary, reading the text and answering questions about what we have read so far.
We do ask that you do not read the Guided reading texts prior to the lesson as some of our questions will be based on predicting what might happen next. After we have finished the text, please feel free to share the story with your child at your pleasure and ask your child to tell you about what they have learnt.
